Pearls were among the first gemstones to be worn by mankind and come in a wide variety of colors and shades and seem to glow from within since light penetrates the surface and reflects off the inner layers. Many people prefer pearls to diamonds and color stones, because they believe that pearls compliment a woman’s beauty rather than upstage it.
