The Peshtigo is one of my favorite day tripping rivers. It always takes me back to my college days traveling through the Black Forest of Germany. The tannic waters, impenetrable darkness of the forest, cool breezes, overhanging branches of the Nicolet National Forest; it truly is a magical experience.
